Whernside

Difficulty: Long, steady ascent. Often considered the easiest climb but taxing due to distance.

Ingleborough

Geology: Massive flat-topped plateau. Limestone karst landscape.

Difficulty: Features almost vertical summit slopes. Historically a Brigante hillfort site. Navigation can be difficult in low visibility.

Pen-y-ghent

Geology: Distinctive stepped profile. Limestone and gritstone layers.
