Day Ranger Ticket prices reduced - Sept 2016 update: offer available for the forseeable future

Post by mac.hawk » 12 May 2016, 23:23

Northern (Rail) have just announced a reduction in their Leeds/Bradford-Settle-Carlisle day ranger tickets. Effective from Sunday 15th of May 2016 (and expected to run until the engineering works north of Appleby are completed) the ticket is reduced to £15 and railcards do apply (i.e. with a railcard it will be £10).

The Day Ranger ticket allows you get on and off at any station along the line of often as you like. It's not a great saving for the 3 Peaks area but if you wanted to venture to the far ends of the line it's a bit of a bargain.

Please bare in mind that currently (and for the immediate future) any travel between Carlisle and Appleby is by replacement coach service - Northern do provide a coach that runs direct from/to Carlisle/Appleby plus an additional coach that stops at the intermediate stations.
