Walking the 3 peaks

There are plenty of walks in the 3 peaks area, other than the 3 peaks challenge...

Walking the 3 peaks

Post by SurreyRob » 24 Jun 2013, 10:36

Hello all
I'm planning my first trip to the area at the end of July and will camp in Settle.I plan to walk each of the 3 peaks and am gathering info for the walks.
I've printed a one page article about Whernside and it desribes a walk from Robblehead in an anti-clockwise route.

I also have a simular artice for Penyghent (from Horton) and Ingleborough. Can anyone confirm whether the route is easy to follow as i'll be walkng alone? I've got an OS map (20) of the local area and so i guess i cant really go that far wrong?

I'd be most grateful for any help and/or advice.

kind regards

Sounds like you are getting prepared in advance - so you should find your way.
Just check the weather and take the appropriate kit with you. Low cloud can disorientate even the best.
