'That' time of year

Post by mac.hawk » 07 Oct 2016, 23:36

Well we've got to 'that' time of year when the nights have drawn in and if you do decide to attempt the Challenge between now and March, no matter how fast you think you might be able to complete the Challenge - take a decent torch (or two) with you. The Clapham Cave & Mountain Rescue Organisation (CRO) team have already been asked to assist hikers who were ill prepared for the darker evenings (i.e. no/limited torches) and whilst it's great the CRO team helped these people, they surely have better things to do with their free time than tramp across the darkened moor in whatever weather conditions the Big G throws at them to assist/rescue people who have been ill prepared for their venture.

I do cover the late autumn/winter/early spring traverse of the route in all version of 'The Guide'.
