Was at Ribblehead today (non-hiking day) between 11a.m & 12 noon and the 3 Peaks Challenge 'traffic' coming from Horton was phenomenal - serious nose to tail stuff.

I, and various others, have said it before but just to reiterate that if you're attempting the 'traditional' route from Horton on any given Saturday from late Spring to early Autumn expect to be 'among the throng' unless you start late in the day (and plan accordingly).

As we have said before on here - start early from Ribblehead and you tend to miss it all as you're always ahead of everyone at the start and by the time you reach Horton everyone has already left.
