Rucksack size

Post by blue_angelica » 09 Jun 2014, 11:08

Hi guys,
I am doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks on 21st June for the first time and i am trying to get all my kit together.
I bought a Regatta 35 litre rucksack.

Do you think this will be ok or too big as i am a bit worried about it.

Thanks for your help!!!

That should be plenty big enough. You need a certain amount of stuff - particularly water if its hot. But try to travel as light as you can.

I think with rucksacks its the weight rather than the size thats important. I often use a larger rucksack because its got a frame and I find it more comfortable than some of the smaller day sacks. But its a personal choice.

The lighter the better. But if you're a solo walker you need something decent to carry your food and waterproofs etc. My normal 35L day sack is always enough for me.
