Crossing The Bog

Post by mac.hawk » 08 Jan 2014, 22:36

Found a rather nice video on Youtube of a group that crossed 'The Bog' in 2010 that will give you an idea of the conditions, starts at about 3.45 mins. It has to be said that they crossed it in good weather and 'The Bog' was reasonably benign - it can be very much wetter/boggier - but it will give you an idea what to expect.

Am I right in thinking that there is now a diversion in place to avoid the bog (please tell me I'm right!!! :? )

And if so, is it obvious where to head to avoid it?
